Nurse turnover, quality of care, patient safety and leadership styles: an    integrative review

Abstract: To analyze the evidence of the relationship between nurse turnover, quality of care, patient safety, and the leadership styles of nurse managers.  Integrative Review in CINAHL, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science and RCAAP (b-on) databases, between 2014 and 2023. Three categories emerged: Intention to turnover/turnover, quality of care and patient safety; Leadership style, quality of care and patient safety; The leadership style and turnover/turnover intent. Turnover directly and negatively influences the quality of care and patient safety. Managers can influence the retention of nurses in institutions.
