Educational health technologies related to the context of the elderly with dementia: an integrative review

Abstract: Identify educational technologies (ET) in health related to the elderly with dementia according to national and international literature. This is an integrative literature review carried out in the MEDLINE, LILACS, Web of Science, Scopus and BDENF databases, between 2016 and 2021. Of the 18 selected articles, 25 TEs were found, verifying the predominance of digital TEs (65.39%), followed by audiovisual (19.23%), expository and dialogic (7.70%), auditory (3.84%) and printed (3.84%). This study demonstrated the importance of TEs in their different classifications, with emphasis on digital TEs, which have the potential to reach a wider audience compared to other TEs, facilitating access and meeting the needs of the target audience. The study showed that studies on digital ET are still emerging in the context studied at the national level, evidencing a knowledge gap to be explored, given the growing number of international studies on the subject.
