Dificuldades e limitações na avaliação de lesão por pressão

O objetivo do presente estudo foi identificar na literatura científica as dificuldades e limitações dos enfermeiros na avaliação de lesões por pressão. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa abrangendo os anos de 2016 a 2020, com busca nas bases de dados Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, Web of Science, Scopus, Pubmed e Cinahl. Para a realização da busca, utilizaram-se os descritores pressure ulcer, nursing assessment, clinical competence e quality of health care. 8 artigos compuseram a amostra, predominando periódicos europeus e escritos na língua inglesa. As maiores dificuldades encontradas foram em relação à prevenção, risco, estadiamento, avaliação, descrição da ferida e ao uso de escalas e implantação de diretrizes na prática clínica. O estudo permitiu identificar a existência de dificuldades e limitações do enfermeiro na realização da avaliação de lesão por pressão, mostrando a necessidade de investimento em fontes de atualização profissional.
